Xcaret is an eco-archaeological park located very close to Cancun. Day trips to Xcaret are offered everyday. It was the only touristy attraction that we visited, but it was definitely worth it. At Xcaret one can see all types of local flora and fauna, remains of the ancient Pole archaeological site as well as spectacular shows like the maya ball game and the night performance, displaying traditional dances from all parts of Mexico.
