Old neon signs are the endangered species of roadside America. Many are being replaced with generic, cheaper to maintain signs lit with fluorescent bulbs. Others are left to degrade and become dim when tubes break and are not replaced. This is no more evident than in my hometown of Marion, IN. All but one of the signs pictured here no longer light up our roadways.
