This is the annual Chingay Parade Celebration in Singapore and usually it is a procession to mark the Chinese New Year ( or the Lunar New Year).Each year,there are participant from all over the world in this parade and this attracts tourist to visit Singapore during this season of the year. The designated spot for the dance is at the City hall. It may have been a blessing in disguise for you not to be given a ticket 'coz you captured these performers on parade which is even better for photography. Parades are GREAT, these are all beautiful & colorful pics!!! Chinese lanterns (either big or small) are CUTE & so are the tri-shaws, though there's not too many of them in modern-Singapore. Stilt-walking must be difficult!
