This Safari Holiday was booked through Solo's Holidays (UK) with Kobo Safaris. Both highly recommended. Over 8 days we travelled widely from Nairobi (the Stanley Hotel) to the Sarova Shaba lodge and the Samburu National Reserve, to Treetops via the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri, thence to Sopa Lodge at Lake Niavasha and the Lake Nakuru national Park, finally across the Rift Valley to the Maasi Mara staying at the Mara Sopa Lodge. The images are presented in chronolgical order rather that in animal or scenery categories. I took around 850 images in all so these are 'just a few' of them. The camera was a (new) Nikon D70 digital SLR. I choose Nikon because they are reputed to produce the best quality images for clarity and accurate colour rendering. However, it does help to set up the camera properly, some of my companions on that holiday may be surprised to hear that I goofed: at Treetops I set the white balance to compensate for the appalling sodium floodlights that they use, and forgot to re-set it for sunlight the next day, hence there are a few images (the ones around the Flamingo lake) that have a blueish hue. I'll fix them one day soon.
