Vravrona was the town where the hotel Mare Nostrum was located, about 1 hour from Athens on Vravrona Bay. When not on tours with the group, we'd take the bus from in front of the hotel, transferring to either A5 or r5 buses at The Military Academy, into Athens. We'd walk those streets of the Plaka and Montisaraki areas. Lunch would be walk along, bought at some shop selling wraps. Friendly people: the manager of the food shop who took out pictures of family and friends who lived in N.Y.C., the elderly nut-vendor near the railroad station who hugged and kissed Ann, 'cause she bought a 1000 drachma bag of pistachios, (about 3 dollars U.S.), Sami the jeweler, who had to make that first sale of the day, which in turn, gave Ann a good deal on 2 bracelets.
