Blue Moon over Lafayette,La.

In all my travels i have yet to come accross a hostel like the Blue Moon Hostel in Lafayette,La. Mark and Catherine invite you in, provide you with entertainment,and can show the town through Blue Moon Tours. This is the blueprint for hostels and the standard by which all other accommodations will be judged. It's only drawback is that you can't stay here forever. After only two days at the Blue Moon i felt like i was leaving home when it came time to check out. I can't wait to go home again. -T Michael Bryan

During my stay the Weary Boys stopped by to play a couple rocking sets.

Dont stay anywhere else. I stayed 3 days longer than I planned then came back for another 4 days. Great hosts and staff, great patrons and great music. I shall return.

neighbor
It is my pleasure to be a close neighbor of the Blue Moon. You can see the roof of my shed in the photo of the back yard. The staff, guests, and patrons are the nicest folks you'd want to meet. Invariably, the music is top notch and represents the rich cultural gumbo of our area. Don't even think about visiting Cajun country without a visit to the Blue Moon!

Moonshine
The Blue moon saloon rocks. Cody and Kelly sling excellent margaritas and cool 10oz Schlitz Beer at the Saloon. Mark and Katherine are excellent hosts, and the house is populated with a healthy cast of characters. Definitely the coolest place in town.
