One of the great things about living in Ottawa is that we usually have four distinct seasons. True, sometimes the Summer is too wet or too dry, and our Winter temperatures can vary from almost "balmy" to unspeakably cold. (Last Saturday night, for example, the wind chill temperature went down as low as -50F or -46C). But the changing seasons ensure that life is never boring.
Winter begins officially on December 21, but psychologically it arrives with the first snowfall, the harbinger of a white Christmas. And what could be prettier than that fluffy new-fallen snow on evergreens under blue skies?
I hope you enjoy these photos I took last week. Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noel, Feliz Navidad, and compliments of the season to one and all !
