The Palace of the Crimean Khans is located at Bakhchisaray in the Crimea, Ukraine. Bakhchisaray was the capital of the Khanate of Crimea or Little Tartary. Today this 15th century palace is a museum and is noted for its marble fountains. The fabled 'Fountain of Bakhchisaray' was immortalised by Alexander Pushkin, Russia's most famous poet, in a poem by the same name, during his exile (1821-23) from the St Petersburg.
