Merry Christmas fron the UP. I hope to move up here soon. It is beautiful contry esp if one enjoys snow. The area on Lake Superior can get over 200 inches per year.

eh?! the yooper country,eh? :-) Love it... I am from Lower.."downstate... but UP has some of the best scenery there is..bar none!... when I get homesick for sights of home... I can always find Michigan ..or "Great State of Superior"..pics like these online! Thanks!

After four years in Chicago, and then four years in Connecticut, I enjoy snow the most when I see it in the mountains high above the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. As beautiful as your pictures are, Joan, I'm just glad to be back in sunny Southern California! Happy New Year, and stay warm.

We had six or seven inches of snow on the outskirts of Houston on Christmas day, and it thrilled everyone. I cannot imagine the sights with 200 annual inches. These are great photos. Thank you for sharing the scenes.
