I made a very personal discovery as we visited the Governor's Palace in Merida. I remember how moved I was to see the murals of Diego Rivera for the very first time in San Francisco, and many years later the murals of Orozco in Guadalajara.
I had the same feeling when we toured the Palace where the upper floor is blessed with mural after mural of a Mexican artist named Castro Pacheco. They're big paintings, some as large as 12 by 20 feet.
