Every Mexican city has its zocolo, in the activity center of town with the church nearby. Lots of people sitting around in the shade, reading, talking, resting in the shade. At night the place comes to life, often with strolling musicians and band concerts . And always with sellers plying their wares. Oaxaca has been said to have the most beautiful zocolo in all of Mexico. We would tend to agree.
