Onlari hala Internette sergiliyormusun? Cok ama cok guzellerdi. Eger bir sakincasi yoksa ve eger bulabilirsem bir kac tanesini print edip evimde kullanmak istiyorum.

Great Pictures!!
Denem, your photos of these old Greek homes and villages are awesome! These buildings are built in the traditional Eastern Aegean style and are identical to those found on the Greek islands of Chios, Lesvos and Samos....bravo sou, good work!

I love the photos! I am of Greek decent living in the USA. My Granfather's family was from this village prior to the change in management. I brought my Granfather back to his village after 60 years and I was totally enthralled by it! The pictures do not show it's true beauty (even though they are terrific!) The people were also wonderful (even when we told them that we were Greek!)I think the comments from some of the other Greeks and Greek Americans are not what Greeks feel as a whole! I know from personal experience that Greeks from Asia Minor have very little ill feelings towards the turkish people (I have also experienced the same from the Turkish People, that have never met a Greek.) We cannot live in the past, the world is too small for that. No matter where we are ancenstry is from, we can all understand why it is so important to embrace our similarities as well as our differences. Peace, with respect of all human kind.

I think that these photos are stunning! I am doing a travel brochure on Turkey, and included this site as a must see! As to the political comments, it is nice to see the broad historical knowledge of both sides of the debate. Cesme is Turkish, as much as old Londonia of Roman times is British, or as much as New Holland is New York. Times change, but in a town as beautiful as Cesme, the blend of cultures really accentuates the inherent draw for a tourist trade. Drop all of the negativeness, and market you wonderful piece of paradise!

thankyou for this site and the beautiful photos, which remind me so much of the aegean islands. please ignore the stupid comments from "nikolaos", who doesn't understand that many people on the west coast of Turkey are the descendants of byzantine greeks who converted to Islam, and the coastal turks are our cousins. The relations between our two countries have improved and I hope in a new climate of friendship between our two countries someday some orthodox greeks will again be allowed to peacefully live along side the muslim turkish population in Smyrna.

I would just like to say that on the 23 September it will be my 16th visit to cesme in 7 years. I love the place. When I land at the airport, I always think that I have come back home. It's great to see that other people love Cesme as well. I would like to know if anyone knows the people that I know, such as Ibo, Ahmet, Ali, from La Societe (Korfez) and Cengiz, Zeki, Selo, Turkay, Sercan and Sunny. It would be great to see some of you out there this year or next year. Anyone coming out on the 23 September, there will be a big party in La Societe (Korfez) on the 27 September for my birthday.

What the hell ....
The truth is Cesme is one of the best places in the world.The contradiction is why are the greeks still think that Cesme belongs to them? Stop bullsh.. and take a map, look at the borders! Your history may say that Cesme was Greek once upon a time, world history says all Europe was Turks, how about that?

Your Cesme pictures are wonderful and thought provoking. I have been visiting Cesme annually during the last 40 years from a period starting with my childhood. My last visit was during May of 2002, and I again spent wonderful time with my true friends Onur and Mehmet. We enjoyed the greatest ocean and natural hot springs in the earth, the original and delicious local dishes, SOHBET AND JOKING, and further cementing our friendship regardless of the pyhsical distance we had during the last 26 years. It seems like I will be visiting CESME again during this September, as I cannot imagine a better place to spend a week where I can get lost and enjoy the qualities of life.

Dalyan,Ilica and Cesme are just the best places to have fun. Lots of water sports, restaurants, cozy beaches, nightlife and more...still sort of undiscovered by the onslaught of mass tourism...I love to sit at the Dalyan Limani and watch the fisherman come in with kofte and raki. Visit if you can.
