Magellan Cross<br> Sightseeing in Cebu picture - Magellan planted a cross to mark the spot whe Rajah Humabon and about 80 followers were baptized in 1521. Over the centuries, local people took chips from the cross, believing it had miraculous powers. To avoid its total destruction, an octagonal stone kiosk with red-tiles roof was built in Plaza Sta. Cruz to house the remains, which are inside the hollow block Tindalo wood cross (1845) that's on display.
