GETTING THERE<br> National Parks in Michigan picture - A twenty-two mile, two hour boat ride from Grand Portage Minnesota was required to reach IRNP. I am the one on the right in the middle of the photo. The weather was cold and rainy but greatly improved shortly after arriving at Windigo at 10:30 am. After getting permitted I was on the trail by 11:00 am.
