Dominican Republic November 2004

We spent two November weeks at the SuperClubs Breezes resort in Puerto Plata. The resort was quite nice, food good and the pool great. The time of year was not the best. It was winter and the first week it rained most every day. The second week was better. It was always quite warm. The beaches had a heavy under tow and were a bit dangerous for swimming. The driving is unbeliveable and I wouldn't recommending anyone renting a car there. Sousua and Cabarette were only about 10 minutes from the resort. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Bad Weather??
Myself and a companion went on vacation,and were in the same area,but at a different resort.We stayed at the Riu Meringue*****It boasted beautiful rooms(bungalo style)and an inclusive wet bar in each room.(Liquor&Beer)Food and entertainment was incredible!Lots of day trips and horseback riding(optional and required payment)and really outstanding,was the cleanliness of this resort.Service was second to none!OK WEATHER REPORT TIME!!.It was blue skies,balmy,and warm when we arrived.After the busride from the airport,it clouded over and began to rain.It rained SOLID the whole time we were there.When we hopped on the bus to go home,the sun came out,and the skies cleared.We were told,THAT hadn't happened in over 15 yrs.CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?Don't let this scare you though.All in all it IS beautiful place!!

great weather!!!
HI! We were at the Breezes hotel at december, for two weeks, and it was great!! the weather was every day perfect, there was never raining..!! sorry, but my english isn´t very good, i´m from germany.... I can just say, that the Breezes hotel was really nice!! we had there our best holidays...

Also if you like facecloths. Take them with you. Most often you don't get them. We found the food to be plentiful and good. Tried all the a la carte restaurants and like the Paris the best. Take something to float on in the pool. The pool is mostly a winding canal and a long way around. All four spas were working but the water was very cold in spite of the signs stating the temperatures to be high. There was only at best luke warm water in the rooms for showering etc. There is lots of activities but few for the beach. The nightly entertain was quite good. We played in the casino only once and of course lost, as at any casino anywhere. Hope this helps and the web site videos give you a real good view of the resort.

Breezes
7 of us from London, England are going to Breezes in June. 6 Adults and 1 child. Weve booked 1 Superior room and 2 Standard rooms. Have you any tips that would be useful for us.
