The Maasai of Kenya still live much as they did thousands of years ago, herding cattle, sheep and goats and existing in harmony in and around the Great Rift Valley.

The Maasai men are tall and rather aristocratic in their manner, proud that they have managed to make their way into the modern world with their ancient customs and society preserved to an unusual extent.

On our eleventh and final day in Kenya, we visited a Maasai village to see the people up close, and learn more about their interesting way of life.
