Just outside the Club, we met up with this giraffe. An odd fact, but true: its scientific name is Giraffa Camelopardalis. When Europeans first saw this 'camel-leopard' they were very confused and that name persisted for many years. You probably didn't know that, but I'm sure you already knew that the giraffe is the world's tallest mammal. By the way, 'giraffe' is from an Arabic word that means 'one who walks swiftly'.
