Michael Verbois took this cover photo for Focus on Africa, a coffee table book on the African safari that came out of a 1993 project involving 135 photographers. We took an estimated 300,000 images during 25 different safaris to 10 African countries. Mike's photo of dust around that license plate didn't get in , but a lot of his other images did, including this cover shot of the book.
