My friend Becky and I are in charge of a small group of Cub Scouts( my son Kirky is wearing the yellow T-shirt, is in that group), sometimes we have to take them to short trips in order for them to earn a pin, which is a requirement for them to advance into the Boys Scouts. Last wednesday, we took them for a short trip to the Salt River, which is about 25 mins. from Mesa,AZ. ( We live in Mesa). While they were trying to catch a fish or an insect, we watched them do it and because I took my camera, I took these photos, and I think that place is really beautiful. I was really appreciative of the beautiful green, the river and the mountains. Especially because we are having such a horrible time in some part in the Northeast of Arizona with the wild fires. So many people have lost their homes and everything. The most fabulous thing about this sad time is, no one has been hurt or killed because of the fires.
