Vilcabamba is in the far south of Ecuador. It's major claim to fame is that people seem to live to very old ages here (though perhaps not quite as old as once was claimed). The climate is almost perfect with temperatures always between 15 and 25 degress centigrade. Almost anything will grow there. It is the only place I have ever seen plants (epiphytes presumably) growing on the power lines.
