HERITAGE SHOPHOMES IN SINGAPORE

Singapore has changed so much, becoming a developed nation.

The shophomes are specially listed to be conserved.

The colonial townhouses represent Singapore's past history as a British colony and are much appreciated by younger Caucasians. In those old days, there are no long bath tubs and the 2 or 3-bedroom houses will not have long bath tubs, much expected by the modern Caucasian expats. If showers will do, these are value for money rental houses at less than Singapore Dollars $2,500 per month!

I hope the younger generation of Singaporeans will remember the long hours of toil and hard work, crowding ten immigrant road builders or construction works in a small shophome bedroom to modernise Singapore so that they now enjoy the amenities and comfort they take for granted when they see these multi-million dollar restored shophomes in various parts of Singapore.

The majority of Singaporeans prefer swanky condos and houses rather than these shophomes which are also as expensive to buy as swanky penthouses.

The shophomes are large investments and are usually rented out to Caucasian expats from Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
