Pipervika is the bay where the Oslo downtown passenger port for ferries to Bygdøy is located. Bygdøy is a peninsula with the best known Oslo museums: Folkemuseum, Viking Ships, Kon-Tiki, Fram and maritime museums. Thus the ferry is well known to any visitor of the city. The ferry trip throughout Pipervika takes 10 minutes and it gives you nice vistas of the urban coastline. I have done it during a cloudy day of July 2004.
Enjoy it!
