On the 16th and 17th of Dec 2000 , i went along with Terrance , BK , Henry and Vincent for a short trip to Johor Bahru , a city just north of Singapore . The shopping there wasn/t great . Shopping malls like Plaza Kotaraya , Plaza Pelangi were quite boring . We had seafood dinner at a food centre near Holiday Inn . The food there , though not that great , was cheap . All the prawns , crabs , stingrays , etc came up to just a small sum . Thereafter we retired to Crystal Crown Hotel . In the middle of the night , we went to sing karaoke at a lounge near our hotel . The song selection was pathetic . The next morning was spent shopping at Holiday Inn Plaza before heading back . Johor Bahru is just a border city and it shows . Best to head north if one is in town .
