Whenever I have the chance to visit Yellowstone I take the opportunity to do so. But because I'm living in Belgium I don't have to just jump into my car to get there. Nevertheless I already succeeded three times to put this astonishing park onto my itinerary. And because there is so much to see I'm longing for a fourth occasion. When we are talking about a 'park' in Belgium, it is something that you can walk through in just one hour (and then I'm talking about a large park), well, Yellowstone is a little larger, actually it is almost as large as my native country! But it's not only the vastness that attracts me. Here you can admire nature in all its glory and see it at work too. The earth is living, and you are aware of it the whole park through. Spouting geysers, one more intense than the other, hot springs, hot jacuzzi's (not for human use), waterfalls and view points where I'm standing open-mouthed and getting goose bumps all over. You can also smell the bowels of the earth there. The thing that attracts me most of all in Yellowstone are the animals, the feeling that they are living here at large...I think it's fantastic! They are in charge here, when they are walking on the road we have to wait till they are ready to move over. But one of the few places where I'm not in a hurry is Yellowstone!!!
