Incredible scenery in the Pantanal and great oportunities for wildlive spotting. I was absolutely satisfied after 4 days in the wildness and glad to have a proper shower when I was back in Campo Grande.

The camp we were and from where we undertook our daily trips is about a 10 hours jeep ride away from Campo Grande deep in the bush of the Pantanal and without a guide not quite accessible. Neither would I do one step in the water of any of the lakes without some instruction by an experienced citizen of the Mato Grosso.

The Pantanal is definitely worth a trip and to live that close to nature for a while is an experience I will never forget! Piranha fishing, playing with the crocodiles or sleeping in the hammock - these are just a few of the moments that made this trip unique.

I am glad I went there, even though I am still suffering from a wasp attack on me and my horse, which caused some serious problems to my right foot that has got the shape of a balloon after two days and is still growing.
