Had the good fortune to stay at Sita's Cottage at Vaishisht nr Manali a couple of years ago (we're from Adelaide, Australia). Fabulous place, great host - Mihachal (MC). Got as far up Rohtang as we could with the weather (January) - great to see your photos and bring back some good memories.
