Bering Island at Dawn
Kamchatka picture - My first sight of Russia was fleeting. Bering Island, our initial Russian landfall, was wreathed in fog. For a moment, however, the island's hills came partially into view, and just as I made this photo, seabirds flew across the scene. The flow of land, fog, water, and birds came together to make this picture, my first in Russia, a memorable one.
