Whale ripples off Kamchatka<br> Kamchatka picture - We saw a number of gray whales along Kamchatka 's shores. They spend their summers feeding in the area. This one surfaced within a few yards of our ship. I photographed it as it glided past me, just below the surface of the Bering Sea.
