A black and white shot. It used to be called Luc Thuy (Green Water) lake. Hoan Kiem (also known as Ho Guom) can be translated as "Restored Sword"(with Guom also meaning Sword like Kiem). According to legend, in the 15th century, this is where King Le Thai To returned to the Golden Turtle a valuable sword he had used to fight the Chinese for 10 years. The sword was said to be lent to the King by God.
