<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Sightseeing in Tuscany picture - To describe a vine-growing region like the Chianti Classico in such a small space, that with its approximate area of 70.000 hectares is the most widespread D.O.C.G. (brand name of controlled origin) in Italy, is a very difficult feat that requires various generalizations. The first, and surely one of the most important in order to understand this wine and its land, is the distinction between the Chianti from the province of Florence and the Chianti from the province of Siena (a distinction not to be confused, to be sure, with the Chianti Colli Fiorentini (Chianti Florentine Hills) and the Chianti Colli Senesi (Chianti Sienese Hills). The first one, of which the Greve community is part, is characterized above-all by two long valleys that run along it from south to north. Using the Chianti hills as a reference point, that in the east divide the Chianti Classico from the Arno valley, one meets first the Greve Valley and then the Pesa Valley. </div></nolayer></noembed>
