Vineyards found in Verrazzano are mentioned as far back as 1170 in a manuscript located in the Abbazia di Passignano library. The modern-day building is the result of a 19th century extension when it was transformed in a masterly villa. A chapel is also part of the complex, where a tabula by Ghirlandaio representing the Eternal Father is conserved.
