Winnipeg's main Park has this lovely english garden close to the unique pavillion nearby. It has a pond out front in the parking area where resident gueese and ducks are spoiled and enjoyed.

The entance to the quiet beautiful paths within is marked by this great statue of a boy with a leaking boot surrounded by a small pond.

Within the park are wonderful gardens superbly arranged, that meander along quiet winding paths both natural and pastel brick. White benches provide rest for the aged, weary or just those who wish to bask in the ambiance.

There are cultural icons from famous structures which no longer exist, a sculpture garden by Leo Mol and plenty of candy for the eye and rest for the spirit.

Let's not forget our Winnie The Pooh who also has a home here when not on tour.

If visiting Winnipeg, MB next time you are in Canada make sure not to miss Assiniboine Park and it's English Garden, Zoo, Conservatory and Pavillion. Perhaps your children will take the train ride or you'll luck out and see Ballet in the Park, The Winnipeg Symphony or another good Performance behind the Pavillion.

Enjoy!
