Autumn is perhaps the most colorful time of the year throughout the country, and Michigan is no exception. My husband grew up in Rochester, Michigan, and we were able to spend a weekend there in October 2003. It was the perfect Indian Summer weekend, with a spectacular rainbow of orange, gold, crimson and moss colored leaves at every turn. There was an occasional crisp breeze, and the skies were a breath-taking royal blue. The contrast of the leaves against the sky was awe-inspiring. Our visits to the historic Van Heusen farm, the Yates Cider Mill and my in-laws' property in Oxford, Michigan yielded many photographic opportunities. These photographs re-affirm my belief that autumn is the most beautiful time of the year. See if you agree!
