Situated just about 45 minutes by train from Birmingham lies possibly Britains most fantastic medeival catle of Warwick.

I visited the castle in 1998 and it was an exhilerating experience. The origin of the castle dates back to the 10th century when Danish invaders threatened to attack. The castle has developed and grown over the centuries to be what it is today. Its construction however began somewhere in 914 AD. King William appointed Henry de Beaumont as the first Earl of Warwick.
