Here's a completed FFR replica in go-cart stage. It's a complete running car-even without a body. Most other replicas require the body to be on the frame because the body forms the floor, engine bay, trunk etc. The FFR body weighs only 180 pounds and is non-stressed fiberglass. Most other replicas built like fiberglass dune buggies need the body for structural support and that means it's a stressed fiberglass design. What design is best? Well, the real ones don't use any fiberglass and the FFR's only use it to replace the original's alumunum skin. The "others" use it for everything else except the ladder frame.
