8-13-05 A shot of what's going on behind the dashboard. The Quality Roadster's A/C and heater with the hoses is almost completed. I modified the passenger side air vent to raise it even with the driver's side vent and centered it. To accomplish this I moved the intake hose to its new location on the left top of the vent box. The 3 A/C control relays are installed above the A/C system on an oak board covered with aluminum tape and glued/screwed to the firewall. 6 other relays are mounted above the steering column in the same fashion. They control the engine fan, high beam, low beam, windshield wipers, horn, and all switched 12V circuits. I added a dash hoop brace to the drivers side to strengthen the dash since I cut out the original brace to fit the A/C system. I also fabricated a firewall brace the connects the firewall to the dash hoop and also provides an oak block (painted black) to screw the rear view mirror into after the body is installed.
