On 8/16/06, I started the engine and it ran amazingly well. There were no leaks or overheating issues. It was a hoot and the power brakes and power steering are fantastic. The car is SOOO much fun to drive. The power is abundant and the engine is very steetable with a lopy 850 rpm idle. It pulls hard from 1200 rpm in 3rd gear without any fuss. The Edelbrock 1406 carb is jetted a little lean and I'm getting a slight flat spot transitioning into the secondaries. I will have to tune that out after she's broken in. A neighbor a few streets away took this photo in his driveway. Later I took him for ride and we met the local sherrif! He was cool about the whole thing.
