3/3/07 - I fabricated a lower panel to conceal the fiberglass body from view, inside the engine bay. The top panel was fabricated over a year ago. The new lower panel completes the concealment. All the panels will be pollished on the engine bay side and coated with SharkHide. The exterior panel side will be covered with Low-e insulation (the same as the cockpit under the carpet). The panel is secured with 3 screws along the 3/4" tube and with industrial velcro at the footbox. This mounting arrangement will facilitate panel removal for engine service.
