<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Door Panel And Carpet Edge Trim<br> picture - These door panels were made on a masonite base with 1/8&#34; foam padding using some of the same leather used on the dash. I was stumped on how to make a nice transition between the carpet and the body edge. The U-shaped plastic channel that comes with the kit didn&#39;t fit well. I picked up some 1/2&#34; X 1/2&#34; X 6&#39; aluminum angle stock and cut it in half at 3&#39; to make each side. Then I used a cutoff wheel and made cuts on one edge every 1/2&#34;. This was so I could bend the aluminum around the door edge opening. After I got the curve right, I covered the aluminum piece in leather and used weather strip cement to glue it in place. It made a nice clean transition and fits well with the other leather in the car. Note the door limit strap. I dyed it black to match. I used 3/8&#34; stainless acorn nuts to hold the door hinge to the door. </div></nolayer></noembed>
