<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> A/F Plot Of The Edelbrock AVS 1806 Carb<br> picture - The first carb I tried on the car was and EDL 1406. It had a huge bog transitioning into the secondaries. The EDL tech support suggested their AVS 650 cfm (EDL1806) carb would be a better choice due to its adjustable air valve on the secondaries. Here&#39;s the plot of the 1806 right out of the box. Note the huge oscillations in AF in 1st and 2nd gears. In third-fifth the AF calmed down. The car ran exactly as these plots indicate; run-miss-run-miss. IN THE NEXT FEW PHOTOS I WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW TO WASTE A LOT OF YOUR TIME TRYING TO TUNE THE EDL CARB. The problem stems from this car&#39;s light weight and high power that causes the engine to speed up very quickly in the lower gears. The carb&#39;s secondaries can&#39;t respond to the low vacuum signals and track the fuel mixture requirement fast enough. </div></nolayer></noembed>
