<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Changes Made To The Holley 570 Carb<br> picture - The only change I made to metering block was to drill out the small brass idle fuel restrictors(IFR) seen on either side of the large power valve mounting hole. The original IFR hole size was 0.023&#34; and I increased that to 0.027&#34;. Enlarging the IFR&#39;s richens the idle and transition circuits. Summary of the changes: drill the primary idle fuel restrictors as stated above, replace the stock &#35;54 main jet with a &#35;56, replace the &#35;65 secondary main jets with &#35;62, change the stock silver secondary vacuum spring to the short yellow spring, replace the stock orange accel pump cam with a black one ground down somewhat to tailor pump shot duration for an entire throttle swing and full load of pumped fuel. Some would think a 570 cfm carb on a healthy 302 would equate to lost man points. In reality, the max cfm a decently cam&#39;d 302 with aluminum heads can require is 524 cfm. There was a test recently of the same motor making 302 RWHP with this carb. </div></nolayer></noembed>
