I built an aluminum bracket and riveted it to the 2" downtube to mount the fuel pump as low as possible. Brass 3/8" fittings and 3/8" marine fuel line connect to hard fuel line that runs forward to the passenger footbox. An integral adjustable regulator sets fuel pressure to 6 psi. Note: I like the Mallory pump. It's much quieter than either the Holley or Carter pumps. I have one on my boat as well and it's been trouble-free for 12 years. I installed an electric pump for security reasons and I like being able to run the carb dry before storage.
