I fabricated this trunk prop rod from 1/4" steel rod purchased from Lowes. The ends are the same ball/swivel setup as supplied with the FFR hood struts. I picked these up from McMastercarr. The yellow clip is from Advance and is an EOM hood prop rod mount. I ground the OD down a little on the ends of the rod and cut some 10-32 threads. The plastic swivel ends threaded on and I added some JB Weld to make sure they stayed.
