I installed the new front Koni shocks today. The original Bilstein shocks were "recalled" by FFR so I had to buy new Koni shocks at a reduced price. Compare the robust build of the new Koni shock on the right to the old Bilstein. The Bilstein shocks were breaking at the shaft end and the spring was chafing the adjuster sleeve. You can see the chafing on mine in this photo. NOTE: Setting spring tension - To get a 4.5" front ride height with a 302 engine, set the adjuster to just contact the spring. Then turn the adjuster 1.5 more turns. Once on the car, I added 1.5 more turns (1/4" higher) to the driver's side to even out both sides.
