The Ford Racing crate GT40 302 V8 (220 duration - 0.498" lift) with X303 alumuninum heads makes at least 340HP with a very wide torque curve. Tests in magazines rate the engine's output with the edelbrock dual plane Air Gap RPM manifold and a 600 cfm carb at 365 HP @ 5800 rpm, 350 ftlbs of torque @ 4000 rpm, 330 ftlbs as low as 2500 rpm, and 310 ftlbs @ 5800 rpm. This setup will be very streetable, with good idle and low end torque, and the ability to pull very hard to 5800 rpm. The engine is a full roller motor (cam, lifters, rocker arms). The bracket for the Quality Roadsters A/C compressor and Mustang Hydroboost power steering/brakes is bolted to the right side aluminum head.
