Terong is a small village located at about 10 - 15 minutes drive from the exit of the Changkat Jering toll. With the guide of a local young man, Ah Chyau, we managed to witness how charcoals are produced. He also brought us to a beautiful waterfall nearby, which is located at a rather isolated place. Without the help of the local, I don't think we were able to find the waterfall. The day's hilite was actually crabs hunting. Ah Chyau prepared 40 traps for us & took us for the hunt with his boat. We managed to get quite a lot of crabs at the end of the day. This is the first time for most of us to taste the crabs which were cooked using the heat of ashes. The crabs were wrapped in newspaper and buried in the ashes from the charcoal factory for about 45 - 50 minutes. Yummy... the crabs were soooo delicious! The trip was indeed a wonderful one & I am definitely going to visit the place again for the tasty crabs!
