A Sunny Day in Hahndorf & Woodside

We took some friends from Victoria for a drive up to Hahadorf. Hahndorf is about 30kms from the city center via the freeway. You can take one of several scenic drives through the Adelaide Hills to get to Hahndorf. We stopped of at Woodside where the Melbas Chocolate Factory is, we bought lots of chocolate. Hahndorf was settled by German immigrants in the 1830s. It is a lovely German style of village.We had lunch at one of the Pubs there, again German style of food, very nice. To the lady who wanted to know about Inch Licorice blocks: There is a store in Macquarie Centre, Ryde, that sells them. I don't know the name of the store, but it's quite small, is next to some elevators, and sells only unusual confectionery.

This is a comment to the management of Melba's Chocolate. Recently,I bought an Inch Licorice block at a petrol station in Bulladelay. It was the nicest licorice that I have tasted.
