In the Arnheim Folk Village, old houses and other structures, including functional windmills, have been accumulated and staffed by people in period attire and engaged in the old skills. Here a wooden boat of old Dutch design is being built by hand. It's going to be a heavy, sturdy boat: those hull planks are about an inch thick. Although they principally use glue and dowels for construction, they have been known to "cheat": notice the steel screw holding the keel.
