The pictures you see here are taken in 1997, 1999 and 2002. Alexandroupolis is the capital of the most northeastern Greek mainland province, EVROS. A nice area not really known to foreigners and even not to many Greeks. Alexandroupolis has about 50.000 inhabitants and is situated 40km West of the Turkish border and in the North the Evros province borders to Bulgaria. I hope for many people these pictures can consist the first contact with this little-known area of Thrace (Thraki). I hope although that it will not be the last one...
