Uninhabited and wind-swept, Pulau Rawa must surely be the jewel of the South China Sea. Nobody lives here. The few trees that manage to find a foothold on this scabrous island cling tenaciously to the rocks. And the rocks, they guard the island like razor-sharp sentinels.

In the distance, basking in the sea of emerald green are other rocky outcrops: Pulau Susu Dara Besar and Pulau Susu Dara Kecil are twin peaks that juts out of the surf.

You sit on your boat and you listen. The sound that greets you is a chorus of gulls in an orchestra of crashing waves. The sun bathes you with merciless sunshine, bringing on a glowing tan.

At last, you find peace. Serenity. Paradise.
